This custom Robur 2391 safe deposit lock cutaway exposes the internal key and side pin interaction of the lock while taking advantage of the limited tailpiece rotation to create a large viewing window. The open design gives a clear look at the spacing, key profile, and internal layout of the Robur platform.

This piece is best suited for display, study, and occasional careful picking. It should not be picked roughly or frequently, but it remains functional for controlled hands-on use.

Jordan the Locksmith is a full-time locksmith and custom cutaway maker. He has been picking locks since around 2010 and has worked professionally as a locksmith since 2017. Jordan began making cutaways in 2019 as a way to better understand lock mechanics and improve his own picking, starting with simple hand tools before moving into more precise mill work.
