ASSA 6K Cutaway in Schlage PL Padlock Body by Jordan the Locksmith

This custom ASSA 6K cutaway is built into a new Schlage PL padlock body and designed for both study and picking practice. The cutaway exposes the side and top pin systems while retaining as much structural integrity and realistic feedback as possible.

The core is functional and suitable for controlled picking practice. As with any cutaway lock, excessive tension should be avoided to preserve the lock and maintain proper operation.

Jordan the Locksmith is a full-time locksmith and custom cutaway maker. He has been picking locks since around 2010 and has worked professionally as a locksmith since 2017. Jordan began making cutaways in 2019 as a way to better understand lock mechanics and improve his own picking, starting with simple hand tools before moving into more precise mill work. His cutaways are made to remain functional, clearly expose the internal mechanics, and hold up to real hands-on use.
